Our Current Projects
Serve a Village is currently working on four projects; we have one domestic project and three international projects. Where possible, we associate the international projects with our humanitarian service expeditions.
Domestic Project:
The Serve a Village Diaper Bank
Serve a Village sponsors a diaper bank that serves Fairfax County, VA and Loudoun County, VA.
International Projects:
1. The Kigima Resource Centre
The Kigima Resource Center is a library created by Serve a Village in Maragoli, Kenya. It is the only free public library in the area. The mission of the Kigima Resource Center is to create a functionally literate and informed society through reading and listening, thereby developing self-reliance and creating harmony among the community.
2. Rhembe Community Health Volunteers Services in Virhembe, Kenya
Serve a Village supports jigger treatment for children in the community.
3. Retsweletse Day Care in Magareng, South Africa
We are raising funds to build a new preschool for impoverished children who currently attend school in a building with deplorable conditions.
